Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Preparing financial statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and effective financial reporting to support management decision-making.
- Performing general ledger (GL) duties, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing processes.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations, and helping to improve and develop our internal controls.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
- Collaborating with other departments to improve financial efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Analyzing financial data and providing strategic financial planning advice to the management team.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
