Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management.
- Handling account reconciliations and general ledger accounting tasks.
- Performing financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
- Applying cost accounting methods to help management understand the financial implications of business decisions.
- Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
- Collaborating with other team members to improve financial processes and procedures.
To be considered for this role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting.
- Experience in payroll processing and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
