We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a keen focus on cost accounting, and a proven track record of managing month-end close processes. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts receivable, and utilizing Microsoft Excel to track and analyze financial data. If you're a team player with a passion for numbers and a desire to drive success within a thriving manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted within set deadlines.
• Preparing financial statements and reports, providing a clear and accurate picture of the company's financial health.
• Managing accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are received and properly recorded.
• Utilizing cost accounting techniques to analyze and report on the costs associated with our manufacturing processes.
• Using Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on financial data, aiding in strategic decision-making processes.
• Collaborating with other members of the finance team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the company's financial processes.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Solid experience with month-end close processes, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in managing accounts receivable.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to non-finance team members.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to implement changes.
• The ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy.
