We are based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and our team is a wonderful mix of excellent engineers, geologists, engineering technicians, inspectors, and supporting staff. We are also known for our great company culture with a “family feel” and have built a reputation spanning over the past 55 years as a trusted consultant for some of the most challenging and recognizable land development projects throughout Southern California.
As a unique award-winning firm with over 55 years of history, we take pride in providing geotechnical engineering and engineering geology, pavement engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, forensic engineering, construction management, and materials observation & testing services, with many projects combining multiple disciplines to help deliver some of the most successful and recognized projects in Orange County, California.
You will have an opportunity to work on a vastly diverse range of projects – i.e., public works, large mass grading projects, roads, bridges, commercial buildings, hotels, landslides, harbors, dams, reservoirs, etc.

Job Details
Duties
- Perform and manage geotechnical investigations - including field work, data collection, and analysis, analyze subsurface data, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers on projects, focusing on evaluating soil, rock, and groundwater conditions for various developments
- Manage geotechnical projects from the initial investigation phase through design and construction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geological Sciences (with Geotechnical Engineering coursework is a plus)
- Ability to write basic spreadsheet programs.
- Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills, with commitment to excellent client relations.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously and in a team-based environment.
- Attention to detail, efficient time management, collaborate and support other team members, including mentoring staff.
- Vehicle to perform field work on geotechnical projects.
- Planning on becoming a Licensed Geologist in Training, then getting your Professional Geologist certification with plans to pursue CEG certification
- Experience as a geotechnical lab or field soils technician
- Understanding of Engineering Geology
- Project Management experience with service to public agencies and private clients
- Proficiency with various types of geotechnical engineering software
