We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Team. Successful candidates will be responsible for all sizes and types of projects from concept to completion of construction with the benefit of in-house coordination with multiple other disciplines. You will lead the project in all facets by interfacing with clients, providing technical excellence, and managing the project team and schedule to achieve a successful project outcome. Structural Project Engineer EIT/PE (Hybrid)
We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Team. Successful candidates will be responsible for all sizes and types of projects from concept to completion of construction with the benefit of in-house coordination with multiple other disciplines. You will lead the project in all facets by interfacing with clients, providing technical excellence, and managing the project team and schedule to achieve a successful project outcome. We provide a defined career path and training at all levels.
Qualifications
- 9 years of experience in the Engineering Consulting / AEC Industry experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
- Engineer expertise in structural discipline
- Knowledge of construction costs
- Experience managing moderate to complex projects and / or functioning as the secondary point of contact on larger projects
- Ability to schedule and manage tasks for the structural discipline
- Demonstrated success in technical / formal communication with clients and staff
- Proven ability to represent the structural discipline at meeting
- Working knowledge of current structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc).
- Experience with BIM including Autodesk Revit workflow.
- Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of commercial building materials, systems, and assemblies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with directing and coordinating project activities of junior staff.
- Developing structural solutions from concept through construction.
- Lead & Delegate the development of system layouts, narratives, calculations, and engineering reports.
- Produce construction documents using Revit.
- Assist contractors by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs and participating in O/A/C meetings.
- Collaboration with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process.
- Adapt to variations in building codes and construction practices while working on projects around the US.
- Mentoring entry-level staff.
