Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the substation, ensuring all activities align with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of new electrical systems, incorporating the latest technologies and innovations.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
• Coordinate with various teams and departments to ensure the effective operation of power systems.
• Develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of substation operations.
• Manage and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to identify potential improvements and implement solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
• In-depth knowledge of NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
• Proven experience in Power Systems and Electrical Design.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using modern engineering tools and software.
• Project management skills, with the ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
