We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our residential construction projects, ensuring that operations are carried out in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role is integral to the successful completion of our projects, and as such, the Permanent Superintendent will be directly involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of our construction activities. Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle and manage all project operations related to our residential construction projects.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction teams to ensure all tasks are carried out according to plan.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop project schedules and timelines.
- Ensure that all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant rules and regulations.
- Monitor the progress of projects, making adjustments to schedules, plans, and resources as necessary.
- Inspect work performed by subcontractors and staff to ensure high quality and adherence to specifications.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may occur during construction.
- Provide regular updates to management on project status, including any changes or potential issues.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment, promoting teamwork and communication among staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a huge plus but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on residential projects.
- Proven experience as a superintendent or in a similar leadership role.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
- A valid driver’s license.
