Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, manage construction activities, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Develop and manage project schedules, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays.
- Manage all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Implement and enforce quality control and safety measures on the construction site, ensuring all workers adhere to safety rules and regulations.
- Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage.
- Conduct risk management processes to identify, assess, and minimize project risks.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
- Excellent knowledge of construction material procurement and subcontractor management.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
- Exceptional leadership and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to work.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage and control project costs.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and planning.
- Proficiency in risk and safety management.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Certifications in construction management or related field will be a plus.
