- Tax Planning and Strategy Develop comprehensive tax strategies for individual and business clients, ensuring compliance while maximizing tax efficiency.
- Client Management Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor in tax-related matters.
- Tax Compliance Prepare and review complex tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Research and Analysis Stay current with changing tax laws and regulations, conducting research to provide innovative tax solutions for clients.
- Team Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a holistic financial approach for clients, addressing their broader financial needs.
- Supervision and Training Mentor and guide junior team members, assisting in their professional development.
- Client Representation Represent clients in tax audits, negotiations, and other interactions with tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Active CPA license preferred. EA is also nice to have.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a CPA firm.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and financial analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry developments and tax legislation changes.
