Job Description
As a tax staff accountant, you will be responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial statements and tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. You will use ProsystemFX software to prepare tax returns and provide guidance to clients on their financial management. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in navigating complex tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare individual, business, and partnership tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120s) ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
2. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
3. Use ProsystemFX or similar software for tax preparation and planning.
4. Provide guidance and support to high-net-worth individuals with their financial management.
5. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
6. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
7. Handle multi-state tax filings and navigate the complexities involved.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A valid CPA license, or in process of CPA with parts passed or scheduled.
2. 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proven experience with 1040, 1120, 1120s tax forms.
4. Experience in preparing individual, business, and partnership tax returns.
5. Proficiency in ProsystemFX or similar tax software.
6. Experience with multi-state tax filings.
7. Experience in working with high-net-worth individuals.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. A passion for music and entertainment.
