Our client is a dynamic and growing company in the health and wellness industry, dedicated to improving lives through innovative products and services. They are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity to support their SEC reporting and financial compliance efforts.
This role will begin as a contract position, with the potential for full-time hire based on performance and business needs.

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the SEC reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings. This position requires a strong technical accounting background, knowledge of SEC regulations, and experience working in a fast-paced, public company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other regulatory filings.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Assist in drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&A, and earnings releases.
Work closely with external auditors, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to support financial reporting.
Maintain and improve internal controls related to financial reporting.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Stay updated on new accounting standards and SEC reporting changes, assessing their impact on financial statements.
Support special projects, including process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
5 years of experience in accounting and SEC reporting, preferably in a public company or Big 4/public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP software.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
