We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our production process, utilizing their expertise in TIG and MIG welding to create high-quality, durable products that meet our stringent standards. This is a permanent position, offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity to utilize and expand your welding skills within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding operations in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc (TIG) and gas metal arc (MIG).
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used safely, and all safety measures are followed to prevent any accidents.
- Inspect and test welds and equipment to ensure that they meet specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
- Assist in the development and implementation of improved welding procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient production processes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior welders as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in TIG and MIG welding.
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Proficient in using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Strong knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot as needed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physically capable of handling repetitive work, standing for long periods, and lifting heavy objects.
- Certification in welding from a reputable institution will be a plus.
