We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and dedicated Trust & Estates Associate to join our client's robust legal team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in Trusts and Estates Law, with exceptional analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of our clients' trust and estate planning, including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on matters related to trust administration, probate, estate tax, and other related issues.
• Collaborate with clients to develop strategies that will effectively meet their estate planning goals while minimizing potential legal risks.
• Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on the latest developments in trust and estate law.
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings and handle trust and estate litigation matters.
• Liaise with other attorneys, tax professionals, and financial advisors to ensure all aspects of the client's estate plan are well-coordinated.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's trusts and estates practice.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Connecticut and/or New York.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a trust and estates associate attorney.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with varying degrees of complexity.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
