As a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Drafting various types of documents related to trusts and estates, such as wills, trusts, power of attorney, and estate tax returns.
- Advising clients on estate planning strategies and helping them understand the legal and financial implications of their decisions.
- Representing clients in probate court and handling any litigation related to trusts and estates.
- Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
- Staying up to date on changes in trust and estate law and informing clients of any changes that may affect their estate plans.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Participating in business development activities to expand the firm's trusts and estates practice.
To be considered for this role, you must have
- A J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- At least 5 years of experience as a trusts and estates attorney, with a strong focus on document drafting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A high degree of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- A proven track record of success in trusts and estates law, including a strong record of successful litigation.
