We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic individual to join our team as a VP of Finance / Controller. This is an outstanding opportunity for a finance executive with operational experience and a proven track record of creative problem-solving and change management to join in a high-growth, mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the board of directors and the senior leadership team.
A CPA is preferred, as well as non-profit experience in about a $50 million dollar organization or better. Someone who has experience working woth, and presenting to the board is a must!

Job Details
Responsibilities :
Lead the execution of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Prepare comprehensive financial updates, including relevant and insightful analysis, for monthly / quarterly board meetings.Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, including the budgeting and forecasting processes.Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax.Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the executive team; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Automated Financial and Accounting Reporting Systems.Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Experience with non-profit accounting, Single Audit, A-133, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable.A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with strong accounting experience.CPA or MBA preferred but not required.This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about managing and developing an efficient finance department.
