If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a Permanent Employment Litigation Associate specializing in California wage-hour class action cases. This role requires a strong understanding of California Labor Laws, and the ability to run cases from start to finish. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can effectively manage all aspects of the litigation process, from initiating legal proceedings to final resolution.
Responsibilities
- Handling a variety of wage-hour class action claims in accordance with California Labor Laws.
- Representing clients in court and arguing motions effectively.
- Drafting and responding to discovery and managing all aspects of litigation.
- Defending depositions and preparing clients and witnesses for depositions.
- Running cases from beginning to end, including trial preparation and trial.
- Advising clients on all aspects of PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims.
- Developing case strategies based on the facts of the case and the client's goals.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal principles and developments in employment law.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
- A minimum of 4-8 years of employment litigation experience.
- Must have significant experience handling California wage-hour class action claims.
- Proficiency in PAGA and California Labor Laws.
- Demonstrated ability to run cases from beginning to end.
- Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and defending depositions.
- Must be admitted to practice in the state of California.
- Proven track record in defense litigation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
