What You'll Do:
1. Maintain and improve the efficiency and reliability of our plant operations.
2. Operate and maintain wastewater treatment, processing, disposal, and testing equipment in wastewater treatment facility to purify water to meet permit and operational requirements.
3. Monitor control panels and adjust valves manually or by remote control to regulate flow of sewage and industrial waste and control processing equipment.
4. Troubleshoot and repair utility systems as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to plant operations.
5. Train and guide junior staff and operators in the correct procedures for operating and maintaining equipment.
6. Regularly report on equipment status, malfunctions, and system performance, and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry, with a focus on wastewater treatment and boiler operations.
2. Degree or diploma in a related field such as Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of wastewater treatment, utility systems, and boiler operations.
4. Proficiency in using control panels and remote controls to operate equipment.
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve operational issues.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
7. Proven commitment to safety and environmental conservation, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.
8. Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to perform manual labor and work in a variety of weather conditions.
