Responsibilities
As a Workers Comp' Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for
- Handling all aspects of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution.
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
- Representing clients at workers' compensation hearings and trials.
- Taking and defending depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
- Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation law.
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
- Staying up-to-date on changes in workers' compensation law and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
The ideal candidate for the Workers Comp' Associate Attorney position will possess the following qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
- Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
- Experience with legal discovery and trial procedures.
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and client management skills.
