Job Summary :
The Compliance Specialist ensures adherence to state, federal, and institutional regulations related to the Client and operations.
This role focuses on education, telehealth, and broadband services, overseeing compliance programs, developing policies, conducting audits, and ensuring Client's services meet all legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
The Compliance Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and operational standards of Client's educational and telehealth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure Client's operations comply with state and federal laws (e.g., E-Rate, HIPAA, FERPA, FCC regulations).
- Monitor compliance with Client policies and procedures. Interpret and apply regulations for education, telehealth, and broadband programs.
- Policy Development and Implementation : Develop, update, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Client's leadership to align compliance strategies with organizational goals.
- Auditing and Monitoring : Conduct regular audits of Client's services, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to financial, operational, and regulatory compliance. Maintain documentation of compliance activities and ensure timely reporting.
- Training and Communication : Provide training to staff and stakeholders on compliance-related topics, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and program-specific regulations.
- Act as a liaison between the of Client , Client's , and external regulatory bodies.
- Contract and Grant Compliance : Ensure compliance with the terms of grants and funding agreements, including those related to federal and state funds.
- Review vendor contracts for compliance with applicable laws and institutional requirements.
- Risk Assessment and Management : Identify compliance risks associated with Client's telehealth and broadband services.
- Develop risk management strategies and oversee their implementation.
