Job Summary :
We are seeking a Data Center Operations Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical infrastructure within a data center environment. The role involves hardware installations, network connectivity troubleshooting, break / fix maintenance, power monitoring, and inventory control to ensure smooth data center operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install servers and network equipment into cabinets and racks.
- Perform CAT6 and fiber optic patch cabling installations and support.
- Troubleshoot Layer 1, 2, and 3 LAN connections.
- Conduct break / fix hardware maintenance, including BIOS updates, hard drive replacements, memory upgrades, and RAID controller troubleshooting.
- Measure cabinet power load and consumption.
- Maintain inventory of servers, components, and cables using DCIM software.
- Develop detailed documentation of operations, best practices, and procedures.
- Proactively and independently work on projects as needed.
