Job Summary
We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Materials Technician to perform various laboratory soil tests in accordance with prescribed methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, and quality assurance.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and adherence to safety protocols in a laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil testing procedures, including soil preparation, compaction (AASHTO T 99 and T 180), classification (T 88 and Hydrometer), and liquid and plastic limit tests (T 89 and T 90).
- Perform additional tests such as organic content (T 267) and specific gravity (T 100).
- Analyze and review data to ensure accuracy and quality assurance.
- Enter and review data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures and laboratory testing protocols.
