Job Summary
The Lead Project Engineer at Client plays a pivotal role in supporting and leading capital and plant support projects, ranging from $15M to $150M. This position combines design, hands-on assembly, and contractor management, contributing to the development of life-changing therapeutics. Engineers in this role will be responsible for both designing custom equipment and physically managing the installation of the equipment. This is an on-site, full-time position within the Advanced Engineering Group located in Pensacola, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead moderate-size and support large-scale projects from conception to completion, including equipment design and mechanical & fluid process engineering.
- Design new processes and modifications for converting / test equipment used in media and membrane manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain detailed budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors (civil, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) in the mechanical assembly of designs.
- Take a hands-on engineering approach by assembling, installing, and qualifying equipment as part of the project.
- Characterize manufacturing processes and materials to identify critical process drivers and establish appropriate controls.
- Lead qualification efforts for changes in manufacturing processes, raw materials, and new product introductions.
- Use technical software such as AutoCad, Minitab, and 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Pro-E, Revit) to support design and analysis.
