Job Summary :
The Ordinance Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, repair, testing, and verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems. The role involves working on various military, commercial, and aerospace systems, including avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, and launchers. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills in a variety of equipment and systems, while adhering to military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assembly & Disassembly :
- Perform assembly, disassembly, and re-assembly of complex systems, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
- Fabricate, screen, repair, adjust, test, and verify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Mechanical & Structural Work :
- Perform mechanical duties including the removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
- Conduct structural duties, including light machining, sheet metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.
- Electrical & Electronic Work :
- Perform electrical duties, such as removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console-type assemblies.
- System Testing & Verification :
- Conduct testing and verification of avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, and related systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product validation and assist with informal in-process checks as required.
