Job Description :
As a Sr. Quality Specialist, you will lead and support the implementation of ISO 9001 compliant processes and work toward achieving ISO 9001 certification for the site. You will conduct Quality Management System (QMS) audits, assess operational processes, and verify compliance with applicable Aerospace Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and internal policies. The role involves designing reports of findings, making recommendations, and ensuring improvements in internal control systems.
Essential Functions :
- Lead ISO 9001 Implementation : Spearhead the implementation of ISO 9001-compliant processes and ensure certification is achieved.
- IMS1 Policy Implementation : Drive the implementation of IMS1 policies and procedures across all functions.
- Gap Analysis : Conduct gap analysis between current practices and ISO9001 clauses with each function and develop a plan to address the gaps.
- Documenting Processes : Support the team with documenting internal processes, procedures, and work instructions as required.
- Internal Audits : Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) and identify gaps in alignment with ISO9001 standards.
- Audit Planning : Utilize your assessment skills to determine the scope of internal audits and develop annual plans.
- Audit Cycle Management : Control the full audit cycle, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards.
- Report Creation : Document audit results and present findings effectively to management, proposing necessary control implementations.
- Root Cause / Corrective Action : Use 8D methodology for conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Train Teams : Train team members in RCCA methodology and internal auditing practices. Act as a lead auditor when necessary.
- Document Control : Manage the review, approval, and release of company operating documents.
- Management Review Support : Assist in performing Management Review meetings and offer process insights.
- Cross-Department Collaboration : Work with other departments and external contacts (e.g., customers, vendors) to explain and interpret operational processes and procedures.
- Process Improvements : Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
