Job Description : Job Duties :
Knowledge of basic human anatomy and of basic first-aid methods and practices.
Skill in maintaining an effective working relationship with others.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his or her service.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status; and to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed by the appropriate patient age group (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
Must be able to scrub for Open Heart Procedures.
Will assist as needed per the organization's needs.
Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
Tracking surgical supplies.
Staying up to date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses, and general surgical team.
Helping provide great patient care.
Job Requirements :
Education : Graduation from an accredited school / program for Surgical Technicians.
Experience : 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience preferred,
Requirements : BLS from AHA and state license
License / Certification : BLS from AHA.
Certification : Basic Life Support
