A Day in the Life of a Transitions Specialist
A Transitions Specialist identifies, recruits, and educates students who have difficulties between them and graduation while helping them make a successful transition from school to college, military, or career pathways with the use of the JAG model. These individuals develop positive relationships with students through utilizing the JAG Advantage of project-based learning, trauma informed care, and employer engagement to deliver student-centered programs with the goal of helping youth achieve their greatest potential.
Transitions Specialists deliver value-added instruction, support, and advocacy to graduates and non-graduates through follow-up services with students. Although this role may have its challenges, it can be very rewarding as positive relationships are developed with students and one sees the successful futures students go on to lead after they leave JAG-K.
