Job Description

The Wait Staff position at Sodexo is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to customers, exceeding their expectations through efficient and attentive service, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Job Purpose

The purpose of the Wait Staff position is to create a positive dining experience for customers by delivering exceptional service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Wait staff members play a crucial role in maintaining the reputation of Sodexo as a provider of high-quality dining services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers
• Present menus
• Make meal and beverage suggestions and answer questions about food preparation
• Take and relay orders
• Handle payments
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables
• Carve meat, fish, or poultry and prepare flaming dishes and desserts
• Carry and distribute supplies and equipment
• Assist in food preparation and proper food storage
• Operate dishwasher or assist with washing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans
• Assist with stocking food inventory
• Attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
• Comply with Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures
• Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
• Comply with company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments
• Attend designated training programs (classroom and virtual)
