VoIP Technician, Sr.

PCI-Productions is seeking a highly qualified Senior VoIP Technician to support our Base Infrastructure and Telecommunications Support (BITS) contract at Tinker Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in VoIP systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and Tier 1 support operations. This position is integral to maintaining critical communications infrastructure supporting Air Force missions.

As a Senior VoIP Technician, you will:

• Provide Tier 1 support for analog and VoIP telephony systems including configuration, activation, deactivation, voicemail setup, and system updates.
• Maintain and administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Telecommunications Management System (TMS), and E911 systems.
• Support trouble ticket resolution via the ESD Remedy system and perform timely closure and documentation of work.
• Maintain and update infrastructure databases and records, including fiber and copper cabling assignments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and testing of spare fiber strands and MH/HH infrastructure.
• Support transition, configuration, and change management activities, including updates to inside/outside plant drawings in CSIR/CVC.
• Respond to system outages and perform diagnostics and repairs per outage priority categories.
• Coordinate site surveys and generate cost estimates for infrastructure modifications or expansions.
• Assist with administration of the Telephone Control Officer (TCO) program and long-distance billing processes.

Required:

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on telecommunications experience with a specialization in VoIP, fiber optics, LAN/WAN, and legacy systems.
• Proven experience administering Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and managing VoIP deployments across enterprise environments.
• Security Certification (DoD 8570.01 compliant); must meet IAT Level II baseline.
• Experience with military communication systems, infrastructure planning, and information assurance.
• Skilled in copper and fiber cabling standards, cable plant infrastructure, and related testing procedures (TIA/EIA-568, ANSI/TIA/EIA-606A).
• Familiarity with DoD processes including trouble ticketing systems (Remedy), CSIR/CVC, and cost estimating for telecommunications projects.
• Ability to interpret and update technical diagrams, fiber layouts, and infrastructure documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with military personnel, stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Must possess a current and valid CDL Class A and be certified in operating forklifts and personnel lifts.

Preferred:

• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience working on Air Force bases or directly supporting BITS or similar telecom infrastructure programs.
• Previous experience with Telecommunications Management Systems (TMS) and Defense Messaging systems.
