We are looking for a gentle and compassionate hospital assistant with a mature demeanor and passion for working with animals to join our team at our animal hospital in Evergreen Park.
Although qualified candidates will have some dog and cat handling experience, experience working in an animal hospital or shelter are pluses but not required, as we are more than happy to train and support the right candidate!
About This Role
assist veterinary technicians in caring for patients by providing gentle restraint for medical treatments, walking hospitalized and surgery patients, and maintaining clean accommodations for them
clean and sterilize surgical instruments and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of treatment areas and surgery and dental suites
perform housekeeping tasks around the hospital including laundry and general cleaning
bathe dogs as needed
ensure the safety and comfort of all animals on the premises
upkeep of general cleanliness of the hospital
assisting in cleaning up after each surgery
upkeep of cleanliness of hospital grounds
maintaining cleanliness of rooms after appointments
