Our client is a globally competitive integrated energy company, and they are currently looking for a Safety Specialist in Commerce City, CO.
Long-term contract. Potential to go direct.
Opportunity for overtime (upcoming outages).
Responsibilities :
- auditing job sites
- auditing safe work permits
- investigating incidents
- presenting safety metrics to all levels of management and hourly employees
- leading and completing fall protection and portable ladder annual inspections
- safe work practices
- PSM compliance
- other health and safety related duties as required
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of refinery experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work and communicate with hourly as well as management
MS Suite proficiency
Comfortable presenting in front of a group of people
Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, API, NFPA standards
Working knowledge of ACGIH and IH responsibilities, including badging, calibration, etc.
Oil and Gas process-related knowledge (how the process works, hazards associated, etc)
Strong experience with auditing job sites, auditing safe work permits, safe work practice and PSM compliance
Compensation : Rate $40.00 - $60.00 hourly DOE
