Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work with advanced laboratory equipment and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests, including immunoassays, PCR, and blood banking procedures.
- Perform specimen collection processing and ensure proper handling of samples.
- Maintain accurate data management practices for all laboratory results.
- Phlebotomize patients as required for sample collection.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to uphold laboratory standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in clinical laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and clinical laboratory practices.
- Experience with assay development and execution, particularly immunoassays.
- Proficient in specimen collection processing techniques.
- Familiarity with blood banking procedures is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
