Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer / Vascular Ultrasound Tech to provide high-quality vascular imaging and diagnostic ultrasound services. The ideal candidate will apply sonic energy for diagnosis or treatment, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety. The role requires professional judgment, adherence to medical ethics, and strong patient care skills to facilitate successful procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular ultrasound imaging and related diagnostic procedures.
- Demonstrate vascular anatomy and pathology for interpretation and intervention.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during exams.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical teams to support diagnostic accuracy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.
- Apply professional judgment and ethical conduct in patient care.
- Recognize and respond to patient conditions critical to successful imaging.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in vascular sonography.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent vascular ultrasound certification.
- Oregon state licensure as an Ultrasonographer or Radiologic Technologist/Sonographer.
- Experience in vascular ultrasound imaging is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and patient care skills.
Healthcare Setting:
- Hospital or outpatient imaging center providing vascular ultrasound services.
- Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and medical teams to ensure accurate diagnostics.
Physical Setting:
- Clinical ultrasound lab and diagnostic imaging department.
- Standing for long periods, operating ultrasound equipment, and assisting patients as needed.
