Today, almost 20,000 leaders in commercial and residential management call this home for learning, certifications, and networking.Join our teamWe're seeking a senior instructional designer who excels at writing and wants to utilize their skills to drive adult learning and engagement.As an integral key member of our knowledge solutions team, you'll be part of the creation of our industry-leading learning. You’ll write and create content and knowledge products that help our members certify, master core competencies, and build new skills.Responsibilities : Conducting analysis activities and research to support course and exam development and revision efforts, education initiatives, and knowledge products.Designing, developing, revising, and updating classroom, live online, and self-paced online certification and non-certification course content and other knowledge products.Leading and participating in review team meetings to propose course revisions.Developing and overseeing the direction and editing of media content to be used in courses and products. You’ll also develop scripts and storyboards.Writing, editing, and reviewing columns, articles, and blogs for our bi-monthly trade publication, Journal of Property Management, and other digital and editorial industry-focused content products.Working with our marketing team to develop project briefs, marketing, advertising, and website copy related to courses.What we can offer you : If you’d like to be part of an organization that is far more than just a place to work, then IREM is the place for you. For this reason, we can only consider candidates who reside in the Chicagoland area.Qualifications : To be successful in this role, you'll need at least 5 years of experience in developing and revising educational programs (a focus on finance and accounting topics would be a big plus!) and SCORM conformant web-based learning. Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning, as well as possessing outstanding writing skills, are also a must. After checking these boxes, we want you to be passionate about adult learning and content creation. Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems and web-conferencing are not necessary, but are big pluses.
