Job Description Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Marketing Enablement team within IT in support of our Global Marketing Organization. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in translating business requirements into technical specifications (Agile user stories) for our team of data engineers, developers and quality engineers. This position requires a deep understanding of business processes, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background. In addition to your analytical and technical skills, you will also serve as lead liaison to bridge the technical team with the business product owners and stakeholders ensuring alignment against product vision, technical roadmap and business outcomes for each initiative.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform analysis of business goals, objectives and needs. Analyze business-oriented projects and programs where technology may be part of the process or solution. Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes to improve and support business activities, software and systems. Utilize data and systems to resolve business issues. Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and / or operational requirements. Translate business requirements for technical staff to assist in development of solutions. Contribute and lead projects and teams.

1) Translate Business Requirements :

a) Collaborate closely with stakeholders in the Global Marketing function (primary customer) and other stakeholders, e.g. Commercial Sales, IT, Corporate Accounts and Finance, to understand their business needs and requirements.

b) Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications in the form of Agile user stories, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and actionable for the development team.

2) Agile User Stories :

a) Create, prioritize, and maintain a backlog of user stories, epics, and technical tasks. Ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.

b) Work closely with the data engineering and development teams to provide guidance and clarification during the development process.

3) Requirements Analysis :

a) Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and requirements to identify gaps and areas for improvement.

b) Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

4) Data Quality and Insights for Requirements and Customer Engagement :

a) Conduct data analysis to maintain accurate and clean contact records within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring customer information is up-to-date and reliable.

b) Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data gaps or inconsistencies that could impact marketing campaigns and implement strategies to improve data integrity and usability.

c) Utilize data analysis to validate business assumptions and ensure that proposed requirements are grounded in measurable outcomes and feasible scenarios.

5) Documentation and Reporting :

a) Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories.

b) Generate regular reports and updates for stakeholders, showcasing project progress, key metrics and business impact.

6) Collaboration and Communication :

a) Foster strong collaboration and communication between business stakeholders, data engineers, developers and quality engineers.

b) Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and objectives.

7) Continuous Improvement :

a) Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to business analysis and Agile methodologies.

b) Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the team's efficiency and effectiveness.

In this role you will work closely with the product owners of Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement to understand and document business needs and requirements; taking this information you will then translate the requirements into actionable technological requirements for a variety of teams using mixed project management methodologies (agile and waterfall).

What do you need to succeed?

• Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement experience is highly desirable
• Ability to write queries to analyze data using Snowflake, MySQL, etc.
• Experience and ability to break down user stories into testable use cases to be able to perform quality analysis.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business systems analysis, with a focus on translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies with proven ability to create and manage Agile user stories and work effectively with development teams.
• Experience with analyzing complex business systems and collaborating with technical team on solutions.
• Experience in business modeling and process engineering preferred.
• Experience with Web Development and App Development projects is highly desired.
• Experience with the following technologies and programming languages is desirable : ETL tools, Snowflake, AWS, Salesforce, SQL and Python.
• Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple initiatives.
• High energy and proactive problem-solving acumen.
• Integrity, authenticity, respect, sense of humor, and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in (Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field). advanced degree in technology or business preferred.
• Experience with AI, Machine Learning and application of AI within App development is a plus.
• Experience in global marketing functions or related areas, e.g. IT, is a plus.
• Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or IIBA Certified Business Analyst are highly desirable.
