Shipping clerk

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Shipping Clerk to join our team for our furniture distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and have a strong ability to handle on both administrative tasks and physical duties in the shipping department. This position is perfect for someone who is organized, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys a fast-paced environment. am looking for someone with experience in shipping to hire permanently after the allowed hours.

Payrate $20.00 per hour

Monday- Friday from 8 am to 4 : 30 pm

Responsibilities :

Manage daily administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and order processing.

Coordinate and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks.

Ensure shipments are accurately prepared, labeled, and dispatched in a timely manner.

Verify inventory and update shipping records.

Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve any shipping issues or delays.

Summary and additional duties

• Prepare and package furniture items for shipment to ensure safe delivery.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to organize and prioritize shipping orders.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory counts.
• Label packages clearly, ensuring all documentation is complete and correct.
• Track shipments and communicate with carriers to resolve any issues or delays.
• Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling of all furniture pieces.
• Perform regular inspections of shipping materials and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications :

Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

Prior experience in a shipping, warehouse, or administrative role preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or shipping software.

Good communication and customer service skills.
