Certified Radiologic Technologist
Location : Reno, Nevada Area
Pay : $35 - $45 / HR
Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (May include nights and weekends (Saturday); schedule is based on manager discretion.

Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Reno, Nevada area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images as requested by medical professionals, ensuring accuracy and safety while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities :
Operate radiologic equipment, including C-arm and fluoroscopy imaging, to produce high-quality radiographic images of specific body parts as requested by medical professionals.
Adjust equipment settings, including voltage, current, exposure time, and distance, to ensure optimal image quality.
Screen patients for radiologic imaging safety, explain procedures, and address patient concerns prior to imaging.
Position patients correctly using immobilization and protective equipment, including lead shields, to comply with safety regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure compliance with American College of Radiology guidelines.
Document imaging procedures, appropriate charges, and other necessary information in the patient???s electronic medical records (EMR) and Patient Archive Communication System (PACS).
Maintain quality control measures, including proper positioning, markers, demographics, and coning, before releasing images to physicians.
Prepare the radiology department daily by cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
Provide exceptional customer service and patient care while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements.
Remain calm and effective in high-stress environments.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules.
Requirements :
Certifications / Education :
High School Diploma or GED.
Radiologic Technologist Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current Nevada State Radiologic Technologist license.
Knowledge of :
Radiology safety procedures and protocols.
HIPAA and OSHA regulations / procedures.
Experience :
Using computer systems and applications.
Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and other medical staff.
Preferred Qualifications :
One or more years of experience working as a radiologic technologist.
Experience using radiology software.
Work Environment :
This position operates in a clinical environment. Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, and similar conditions are possible.
Physical Requirements :
This position requires frequent standing and walking to obtain images. The noise level is usually moderate.
Travel :
This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on manager discretion.
