Join our leading orthopedic team in downtown Reno as a physical therapist and play a crucial role in helping patients recover from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. This position focuses on designing and implementing effective therapy programs that restore movement, reduce pain, and promote long-term health.
Our clinic is expanding rapidly with the addition of two new operating suites and eight new surgeons in early 2025, making this an exciting time to become part of our dedicated team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized therapy plans based on physician referrals and medical history
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training to promote patient recovery
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and post-rehabilitation exercises to maintain long-term wellness
- Train patients in the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers
- Maintain detailed electronic medical records and communicate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
- Travel to other clinic locations may be required based on manager discretion
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active/unrestricted Nevada Physical Therapy license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) certification
- Two or more years of experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting
