Salary: 180-250K annuallyWe’re hiring a Founding Member of Technical Staff with a strong background in systems engineering; especially in RUST. You'll help architect and build the back-end systems that power inference, experimentation, and optimization pipelines at scale. This isn’t just a typical engineering role ; we’re looking for cross-functional builders excited to blur the lines between research and production, infrastructure and product.What You'll Be Doing
- Building core inference infrastructure and experimentation frameworks
- Implementing features that operate at inference-time (e.g. routing, optimization)
- Designing scalable data pipelines for real-time feedback and metrics
- Contributing heavily to open-source codebases
- Collaborating closely with product, ML, and front-end engineers to shape user-facing features
- High visibility: Your work will be core to the open-source foundation of our platform
- Depth and breadth: Work across systems, infra, and ML with the freedom to explore new domains
- Founding team ownership: Shape product direction, architecture, and team culture
- World-class backing: Backed by investors who’ve helped define AI, infra, and dev tooling markets
- Strong back-end/systems engineering experience, ideally in Rust
- Ability to independently drive large, complex projects
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and a fast-moving early-stage environment
- Eagerness to learn across infra, ML, and optimization domains
- Willingness to work in-person in New York City
- Experience with LLM systems, high-throughput APIs, or inference infra
- Background in open-source development or performance optimization
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, or RL
