About the Role: We are seeking a Software Engineer with a specialization in data management to join our dynamic, innovation-driven team. In this role, you'll design, build, and deploy data-centric applications and pipelines using Java, Kubernetes, Apache Flink, and other modern technologies. You’ll play a key part in advancing our data engineering efforts, with a strong emphasis on scalability, cloud deployment, and performance monitoring. What You’ll Do:
- Build Scalable Data Applications: Design and develop robust, data-driven applications using Java and Kubernetes, aligning solutions with business goals.
- Data Pipeline Management: Create and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Apache NiFi, DBT, and Kafka to ingest, process, and transform large data sets.
- Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications on AWS using Kubernetes (EKS), leveraging Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring and load testing tools such as Prometheus, JMeter, and Jenkins to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Collaborate in Agile Teams: Work closely within a pod of 4 engineers and cross-functional partners, contributing to collaborative development and client-focused outcomes.
- Continuous Learning & Innovation: Rapidly adopt and integrate new technologies into your workflow, demonstrating a growth mindset and adaptability.
- Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with a strong data focus.
- Programming: Proficiency in Java (core language for development).
- Cloud Expertise: Experience deploying applications on AWS using Kubernetes (EKS).
- Tools & Tech: Practical experience with Apache NiFi, Kafka, DBT, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, Prometheus, and JMeter.
- Data Architecture: Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling.
- DevOps Integration: Familiar with CI/CD practices and version control using GitHub.
- Industry Experience: Background in financial services, risk analysis, or compliance data workflows is a plus.
