Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to contribute to our practice areas, which include :

  • Complex commercial and business litigation
  • Representation of hospitals and physician practice groups
  • Support in lobbying and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars and schedules, coordinating with court staff to secure hearing dates and trial schedules.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Handle electronic filing and e-service of pleadings and discovery.
  • Prepare responsive production documents for discovery requests and subpoenas.
  • Correspond with and research expert witnesses using tools like Westlaw.
  • ssist attorneys with hearing, deposition, and trial preparation.
  • Summarize records and reports, such as depositions, medical records, and internal documents.
  • Maintain well-organized case files with detailed documentation.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.

    • Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you should have :

  • minimum of five (3) years of full-time experience as a litigation paralegal
  • bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate (preferred)
  • Medical malpractice experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • The ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
