Job Summary :
We are hiring a Title Officer / Title Examiner to analyze and verify property titles to ensure clear ownership. This role involves conducting thorough title searches, resolving defects, and issuing title commitments and policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Examine property records, deeds, mortgages, tax assessments, and legal documents to determine ownership and any title defects.
- Conduct title searches using public records, title plants, and online databases.
- Identify and resolve issues such as encumbrances, liens, or ownership disputes.
- Prepare and issue title commitments, preliminary title reports, and final policies.
- Work closely with underwriters, attorneys, and clients to resolve complex title issues.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.
