3rd Shift Maintenance TechnicianAbout the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift (with a pay differential!). In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly by handling preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems. If you enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities may vary, but here are some of the key tasks you'll take on:
- Keep Equipment Running – Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Fix Issues Quickly – Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems as they arise.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance – Follow all GMP, safety, and audit standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Keep Things Clean & Organized – Perform general housekeeping to maintain a well-organized workspace.
- Handle Equipment Changeovers – Adjust production lines for package changeovers as needed.
- Investigate Breakdowns – Participate in breakdown analysis (BDA) efforts to prevent future issues.
- Work with Contractors – Collaborate with outside vendors when necessary for specialized maintenance needs.
- Implement Upgrades – Assist in installing and upgrading new equipment and technology to improve production efficiency.
- Document Work – Keep clear and accurate records of maintenance tasks and schedules.
- Work Independently & Collaborate – Manage tasks effectively on your own while also being a team player.

What You Bring to the Table
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical Systems – Working with gearboxes, chains, motors, seals, and bearings.
- Troubleshooting – Identifying and resolving mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
- Technical Reading – Understanding product manuals and mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics).
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required!)
If you have experience in any of the following areas, that’s a big plus!
- Electrical Systems – Starters, fuses, contacts, relays, frequency drives, and troubleshooting.
- Refrigeration & Air Systems – Compressors, ammonia systems, and airveyors.
- Conveyors & Motor Controls – Air cylinders, diverters, sensors, and motor speed controls.
- Electronics & Automation – Working with PLC systems, level probes, flow meters, and VFDs.
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems – High-pressure cylinders, pumps, solenoids, motor brakes, and valves.
- Gear Systems – Gearing, gearboxes, rebuilds, and machining parts.
- Schematic Reading – Understanding electrical blueprints, switches, and relays.
- Preventative Maintenance – Using computerized charts and data for tracking.
