Regional Safety Manager

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations.
- Conduct safety training for employees, including new hires, to keep everyone informed and prepared.
- Manage the workers' compensation process from start to finish, including reporting, medical coordination, and investigation.
- Partner with insurance carriers to oversee work-related injury cases and control program costs.
- Work closely with the DOT Compliance Specialist to manage accident reporting, intervention, and compliance.
- Investigate safety incidents, including workers’ compensation claims and vehicle accidents, and recommend preventative actions.
- Lead safety meetings and collaborate with teams to address concerns and implement improvements.
- Ensure corrective safety measures are put into place promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and evaluations to identify and address potential hazards.
- Oversee safety equipment checks and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Coordinate external safety testing, such as noise evaluations and biological monitoring.
- Maintain accurate safety records and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage security measures across multiple facilities and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
- Represent the company during regulatory visits, inspections, and environmental events.

What You Bring:
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, DOT requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience working in facility operations, ideally with a union workforce.
- Ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you're comfortable presenting and working with teams at all levels.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities.

Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in safety management within manufacturing, supply chain, or a similar environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety Management or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience developing and delivering safety training programs and standard operating procedures.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be open to traveling up to 50% of the time.
