This internship aims to provide experience in a dynamic government affairs environment while providing administrative and advocacy support to the Joby Policy team. You will be exposed to defense, civil aviation, and energy-related political landscapes while collaborating with team members in international, federal, state, and local governments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with office visits, conference tracking, event planning, and attendance.
- Learn about the policy/regulatory aspects of introducing the Joby aircraft to federal, local, and state markets.
- General policy research, congressional bill tracking, and federal government calendar tracking
- Attend congressional hearings, hill events, and internship programming with our hill consultants.
- Assist and brainstorm how to manage relationships with trade associations, federal contacts, and other stakeholders via CRM.
- Assisting in preparing briefing materials for stakeholder meetings
- Any other tasks as required
Required
- Be a current high school student of 18 years or older, an undergraduate, trade school, or junior college student
- Or be a recently graduated college student
- Has a passion for eVTOL and emerging mobility technologies
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possesses a collaborative spirit, is excited to learn, and is ready to engage by taking initiative in one’s work
Desired
- Educational background or deep interest in federal, state, and local government/policy
- Experience with administrative duties, event planning, and general project management
- Strong written communication skills
- The preferred location is DC

Relocation Assistance: This position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
The pay range for undergraduate interns, which includes freshman to senior level students, is $20-32/hr. The pay range for graduate interns with a Bachelor, Master, and/or Ph.D. degree is $5,550-$6,563/month. Individual pay is determined by internship role, department, experience, job-related skills, and level of education.
