Responsibilities
As Production Technician Team Leader, you will enable a team of production technicians to achieve daily goals for safety, quality, and quantity. The ideal candidate must have experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing work requirements and strong communication skills to resolve issues with cross-functional teams including production leadership, quality, engineering and inventory. The roles and responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Leading daily team and cross-functional meetings
- Accurate reporting of downtime events to production leadership and cross-functional teams
- Allocating people resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the weekly build plan
- Resolving issues, often with cross-functional teams and escalating when appropriate
- Developing an in-depth understanding of processes in the assigned area
- Be hands on; build, troubleshoot, and rework with engineering and production technicians
Required
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6pm
- Flexibility to adapt to and allocate resources to changing work assignments
- Ability to think strategically and prioritize work assignments to meet goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent
- Detail and quality oriented
- Basic computing skills
- Ability to lift 25-30lbs
Desired
- 2 years of experience leading teams of people in a production and/or R&D environment
- Previous experience as an NPI, engineering or production/manufacturing technician
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office
- Familiarity with a manufacturing execution system (MES)
- Experience in high pressure production environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $27-$35/hr. per hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
