The Accountant will Perform daily and month-end closing general ledger accounting tasks. Provide timely and accurate financial information through general ledger input, account reconciliations, review of data accumulated in the financial system, and dissemination of this data to appropriate levels of management for review and decision-making purposes.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned month end close functions.
- Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
- Determine corrective measures for errors processed to the general ledger
- Investigate inquiries concerning general ledger accounts and other accounting matters
- Provide financial support to business units as requested
- Schedule completion and audit report assistance for year-end audit.
- Complete federal mandated census reports monthly or as needed.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum one year of general accounting experience (internship experience accepted).
