Jockey is seeking a Social Media Copywriter to join our Marketing team!

JOB SUMMARY

Jockey is seeking a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Copywriter to join our marketing team. This role will focus on crafting compelling captions, headlines, and social copy while monitoring trends and leveraging social listening tools to identify opportunities for Jockey to engage in relevant conversations across platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for cultural moments, and a knack for connecting with audiences in an authentic way.

This position can be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area), or at our office in Nashville, TN .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Content Creation

Write engaging, on-brand captions, headlines, and copy for Jockey’s organic and paid social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.).
Develop messaging tailored to specific platforms, audiences, and campaign goals, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice.

Trend Monitoring & Engagement

Utilize social listening tools to identify trends, hashtags, and cultural moments relevant to Jockey’s audience and industry.

Develop creative strategies to insert Jockey into trending conversations in an authentic and meaningful way.

Stay up to date on social media trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with the broader team to inform content strategies.

Partner with social media, creative, and marketing teams to align copy with visuals and overarching campaign objectives.

Performance Optimization

Analyze the performance of captions, headlines, and trend-driven content, using insights to refine and optimize copy strategies.

Continuously test and iterate on messaging to improve audience engagement and campaign outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of experience in social media copywriting and content creation, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.

Familiarity with social media platforms, their best practices, and audience engagement strategies.

Knowledge of social listening tools and techniques for trend identification.

Ability to adapt tone and style to align with Jockey’s brand voice.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and content.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional storytelling and communication skills.

Passion for brand-building and a deep understanding of audience engagement.

Excellent judgement.
