Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Heart Institute is looking for a pediatric electrophysiologist to lead its multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology and preferred eight plus years of experience. In addition, candidates must be IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination) certified as well as hold certification as either a CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) or CEPS-P (Certified EP Specialist-Pediatrics), with CEPS-P preferred.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic pediatric electrophysiologist proficient in device implantation and catheter ablation who can bring new dimensions to our existing programs. The current faculty includes : three surgeons, four interventional cardiologists, three heart failure / transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, two adult congenital cardiologists, and one inpatient cardiologist. Current volumes include 90-100 EPS / ablation procedures and 25 device implants in the cath lab per year, with an anticipated increase in workload due to the establishment of an accredited adult congenital heart program.
