Joe Holland Chevrolet, Inc. Lead Body Shop Estimator
Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
Essential Duties
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
- Assists in determining if vehicle is economical to repair or should be considered a total loss by the insurance company.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Receive assignments, initiate customer contact and create daily routes in order to serve our customers in a timely manner
- Upload appraisals and photos into our imaging systems and use the CCC One claims system to document notes and update customers and insurance companies.
- Follow the I-Car and OEM guidelines including, but not limited to, replacement parts usage, timelines, total losses, refinish and body repairs.
- General office skills including faxing, copying and filing; typing
- Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of people.
- Ability to juggle several tasks and work well with fellow employees, insurance adjusters and customers.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to four years related experience and/or training is required.
- CCC ONE experience is required.
- CDK experience is preferred.
- Reliable and predictable attendance is required
- Valid Driver's License
