Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. Rapid advancement is enticipated in this role, up to partner, with salary to reflect the advancement as well.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law,primarily focused in Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate. This role requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorney to provide comprehensive legal services and support to our clients. The law firm is willing to mentor and teach the appropriate candidate. Must be able to travel within Central Ohio counties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
- Assist in the preparation of cases for trial or hearing by gathering evidence and preparing exhibits.
- Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, pimarily in Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate Law.
- Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases and participate in client meetings.
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ohio bar.
- Strong understanding of various areas of law pimarily in Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate Law.
- Excellent legal research skills with proficiency in using tools like Lexis-Nexis.
- Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
